Block of the Month 2010
"Anniversary Block Party "
“Block Party 2010” Block of the Month begins in February. Block Party 2010 will help to commemorate the 25th Anniversary Year of Flying Geese Quilters Guild by using the patterns from the 1986 BOM Program. Usually, two patterns will be offered. Since the 1986 patterns all use templates, the second block will utilize rotary cutting. From the patterns offered, Members may choose to make one, or both, when two patterns are offered.
All the blocks offered during 2010 will finish at 12” (12-1/2” unfinished.) Fabrics and fabric colors are Members’ choices. A block with a seasonal motif might influence a color choice. One suggestion: please use white fabrics for backgrounds or various pieces for the blocks. This will allow some uniformity among the blocks that people might win in the drawing.
Samples of each of the blocks for the month will be shown at Guild meetings, so look for the “Block of the Month” table.
Members may make and submit one to four blocks. For each block, you will be given one chance to win a set of blocks. Print your name on the back of the tickets provided at Guild meeting, and place them in the container. One or two names will be drawn at each Guild meeting.
Also, please be sure to sign in on the roster when you submit your blocks, so we can keep a record of blocks submitted each month.

*Every printer is different so... If you use the online copies of the 1986 template patterns.... you may have to use a copy machine to adjust the pattern size to match the dimensions of the index square.
