Quilt Guild Activities
.

Special Activities

  • Philanthropy Workdays are held at Flying Geese Fabric in Old Town Tustin on the second Wednesday of each month 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

  • Periodically there are additional activities offered by the guild. For instance, the Guild Challenge in March, the Quilt Auction in October,  and the Little Red Hen at a guild meeting.

A challenge is always fun. You never know what our guild members will dream up next, but it is always worth finding out!  The 2008 challenge fabrics were "red" for the All Fired Up! theme and the entries were fabulous. The Little Red Hen (5-12-08) is a favorite guild activity; an informal fundraiser for philanthropy with a silent auction of quilt related items and a live auction of small quilts and quilt tops.

Community Education 2008

The goal of Community Education is to promote the art and history of quilting.  This year looks like a busy one!

Our members will be displaying quilts at Heritage Hill Park in Lake Forest to celebrate each of the Park’s major events:

May 17:  Rancho Fiesta Days
October 18:  Autumn Harvest Festival
December 6: Victorian Christmas
December 13, 14:  Candlelight Tour

Our day at the Orange County Fair will be July 22 from noon until 9:00 PM.  We will have a booth in the Home Arts Building and be presenting a trunk show on stage between 2 and 3 in the afternoon.  It’s always an invigorating day, showing people some of the projects we work on, especially our philanthropy work.

Quilt Daze VII is August 2 and 3, 2008 and will feature our Challenge Quilts at the Yorba Linda Community Center.

We look forward to this active year and displaying our fabulous work.
