Retreat 2005

Those who were unable to attend the spring retreat missed a most delightful weekend! We were fed way too well and sewed to our hearts’ content. The thirty-eight who did attend got to know one another better and shared stories, fabric, suggestions on design layout, and drooled over each another’s work. We, of course, had to make trips to the fabric shops in the area and The Quilters Cottage was most appreciative of our shopping trips to their shop. We watched the hot air balloons ascend on Saturday and Sunday, watched beautiful sunsets, and a few of us even watched the sunrise. We all survived without television, radios, kids, and husbands. We enjoyed the experience so much we decided to do it again and we have tentatively booked a retreat for September, 2006.

Balloon liftoff in the early morn.  What a sight!
